Mourningvale is the first hub area of Wrath: Aeon of Ruin. It has a mixture of snowy graveyards, dank swamps, and overgrown ruins. It contains 8 secrets and one shrine.

Secrets[]
- Between the entrances to the Undercrofts and the Mire there is a platform that you can boost jump to containing some ammo.
- From the previous secret, jump onto the platform on the tree for a Soul Tether.
- At the entrance to the Mire, check the submerged log to find some armor.
- Behind the entrance to the Hallow there is a Cruel Aegis.
- Next to the entrance to the Gardens there is a platform with armor that you can jump to.
- Behind the entrance to the Priory is a platform that you can boost jump to. This platform contains a Drowner's Apparatus and a coffer key.
- Across from the entrance to the Gardens is a platform that you can boost jump to. This platform contains a Soul Tether and a coffer.
- The previous secret gives way to a large body of water. Use the Drowner's Apparatus (or swim quickly) to collect some dark armor.
